Rôle of the participants

1. Us

Our role is to bring our experience in the field and our geological knowledge to the students. Being unable to go themselves in the field, we will provide them with the necessary elements that they can use during the lectures. During our visits of the geological localities, we will describe the interest of the visited sites. To develop the curiosity of students, we will finish our messages by questions which they will be invited to respond by documenting themselves and organizing presentations.


2. The teachers

Given the difficulty of accurately coordinate an expedition by bicycle with a curriculum, teachers can adapt the organization of their programs based on our journey and the associated geological information.

They will connect information and photographs that we will send them with the curriculum. They therefore rely on concrete data to teach students the various themes.


3. The pupils

Students will also have a particular role. They will be asked to develop their curiosity and imagination to follow this expedition. This curiosity will bring us beyond their usual questions and they will respond these questions by themselves by documenting oninternet or by other means. They can then make presentations on a topic chosen in advance and they can develop during the year of the expedition. This statement will then be published on our website to trigger more involvement of the students in this project.
